We must continue to work to improve our educational system for all children while honoring parental choice and involvement. We must look for innovative ways to reward our hard-working teachers, decrease class sizes, and decrease federal oversight in the classroom; the parents and the teachers should make the decisions for our children, not the federal government.

Education is the single largest budget item for our State. Working with school districts to incentivize efficiency and frugality in our public education system will help reduce any waste. Too often I have witnessed government agencies with the "use it, or lose it" mentality when managing their funds. We need to get away from such thinking. I want to incentivize monetary efficiency, and work with educators to find ways to cut waste while working to meet the needs of educating our children.
